My Friends
I'm gonna keep this brief, because I have this tendency to ramble (okay, the fake gasps of shock are completely unnecessary)but I felt bad that It's been so long since my last post and even THAT was just me wishing myself a "Happy Birthday". Anyway, I kinda hit a bit of a rough patch around that time; being bogged down with work, feeling pressure from a grad school project deadline, losing my voice and not feeling well, you name it, if it could go wrong or awry, it did. Anyway, there was light at the end of the tunnel and I've finally made my way into it. The deadline was met (although I have yet to find out how I did), my voice is back and my spirits are up again. With all of that said, I just wanted to take a moment to thank my friends. I have a wondeful circle of friends. Most of them don't live around me and I don't get to see them or hangout with them on a regular basis, although I'd really like to in the worst possible way; however, the friendship is still there. And, I wanted to take the time to say how very much I appreciate it and value it.
We just don't do that enough anymore. Especially us guys. We just sorta live off of the "Guy Code" of assumption. We don't have to tell each other how important we feel our friendship is or that we care about each other. It's simply assumed and seldom addressed. Well, my friends shouldn't ever have to assume that I value them and hold them in high regard because I'm gonna tell them. Friends are a treasured commodity in life and making new friends isn't always easy, especially once you're out of school. Anyway, before this snowballs into some kinda big deal. I just wanted to take the time to tell all of my friends out there who may visit my Blog that I am really glad that they are my friends, I'm honored to have them impact my life and that I hope that they get as much out of their friendship with me as I do from them.
